Kolkata, West Bengal | 19 September 2026: On the auspicious occasion of Ganesh Chaturthi, Oxford International Preschool inaugurated its new Teachers Training Unit and Eastern Regional Franchise Operations Office in Kolkata on 14 September 2026.
The new facility marks an important step in the organisation’s commitment to strengthening the quality of early childhood education and providing structured professional development opportunities for preschool educators across its growing franchise network.
The inauguration was led by Ms. Sutapa, Academic Director, Oxford International Preschool, in the presence of the entire Oxford International Preschool team. The inauguration on the auspicious day of Ganesh Chaturthi symbolised a new beginning and the organisation’s vision of creating stronger foundations for early childhood education.
Dedicated Teacher Training for Franchise Schools
The primary objective of the new Teachers Training Unit is to provide systematic training and professional development to teachers being recruited by Oxford International Preschool franchise schools.
The training programme will focus on equipping educators with the necessary academic knowledge, classroom skills, teaching methodologies, child-centred approaches and practical preschool-management techniques required to create an engaging and nurturing learning environment for young children.
Through this initiative, Oxford International Preschool aims to ensure that teachers joining its franchise schools receive appropriate orientation and training before taking responsibility for classroom learning.
Eastern Office for Franchise Operations
Alongside teacher training, the Kolkata centre will function as the Eastern Regional Office for Oxford International Preschool franchise operations.
The office will support franchise partners in the eastern region through coordination related to school operations, academic support, teacher development, training, implementation of preschool programmes and franchise assistance.
The establishment of the Kolkata office is expected to improve communication and provide more accessible support to existing and prospective franchise partners in the region.
