Early Life and Education
Shri Mohanty is eldest son of Late Col. Mahi Pratap Mohanty and Smt Bijaya Laxmi Mohanty. He was born at his ancestral home in Cuttack district. Col. Sagar K. Mohanty and Mr. Kamal B. Mohanty are his younger siblings He is blessed with two children and is married to Smt Vandana Mohanty. He started his schooling from European School in Colaba Bombay and moved on to various public schools and Kendriya Vidyalaya across the country. He has a long-standing reputation in the construction industry, and hospitality industry. He is the Chairman and Managing Director of The Metro Groups which is a conglomerate of companies. The Metro Group is one of the largest and leading real estate construction & hospitality industry in the State of Odisha. He is the founder of numerous ventures having successfully undertaken numerous projects that have garnered acclaim for their quality and innovation. Additionally, their philanthropic endeavours have touched the lives of many, with contributions towards education, healthcare, and community development.
