“If we place it in the right place, then the government will also give full support” Dr. A.K. Dwivedi, a member of the Scientific Advisory Board of the Central Homeopathic Research Council of the Ministry of AYUSH, shared his emotions during a visit to Jabalpur.

New Delhi (India), April 26: “During a discussion a few months ago with President Smt. Draupadi Murmu and Finance Minister Smt. Nirmala Sitharaman, I had raised the issue of patients suffering from fatal diseases such as sickle cell anaemia. Both dignitaries had assured possible action on it. When the finance minister announced to eradicate sickle cell anaemia and anaemia by 2047 during the presentation of the 2023-24 Budget, I was filled with surprise and happiness. I felt that if the right issues are raised in front of the current sensitive government, in the right way, and at the right place, then not only are they heard, but prompt and rational action is also taken.”

This is a statement by Dr. A.K. Dwivedi, a member of the Central Council for Research in Homeopathy under the Ministry of AYUSH, Government of India. Dr. Dwivedi, who has been a member of the council since 2015 and is a renowned doctor in Indore, participated in the meeting of the Homeopathy Board of Study held at the Madhya Pradesh Medical Science University in Jabalpur on Friday.

He said that the trend of rejecting homeopathy and Ayurveda as outdated medical practices has come to an end, and now there is a focus on integrating these practices with allopathy and other alternative therapies under a holistic approach to treatment. Research in these fields is also being accelerated. He recommended that homeopathic doctors write more research papers and publish the positive results of treating incurable diseases.

Regarding the ongoing battle against the COVID-19 pandemic, Dr. Dwivedi advised that people should take all precautions but not let fear of the virus overwhelm them. Additionally, he recommended that people take homeopathic medicines under the guidance of a doctor as these medicines have no side effects and can be helpful in preventing COVID-19. The statement ends by mentioning a book authored by Dr. Dwivedi called “With Corona and After Corona,” which is said to be effective in the fight against the virus.
