Ghazal album “Sukoon” is a tribute to singer Jagjit Singh: Ashmit Patel
Desi girl Priyanka Chopra’s cousin sister Manara Chopra started her film career with the movie ‘Zid’. And now she will be seen opposite Ashmit Patel in a music video titled “Sukoon”.
Bollywood’s famous actress Amisha Patel’s brother Ashmit Patel has also been in the news due to Bigg Boss. The two were recently shooting for a ghazal Album “Sukoon” in Mumbai directed by Navneet Baj Saini, a talented film director.
Navneet has directed several hit films, and is now directing Ashmit and Manara. This ghazal is written by Ashok Yadav while its singer is Kartikeya Tiwari. Making under the banner of Gurupad Raj Films, the album is produced by Karthikeya.
During the shooting of this album, Ashmit Patel told the media that when I heard this ghazal, I remembered Jagjit Singh. I have been a big fan of Jagjit Singh ji and this ghazal reminds me of his flavour.
Through this song, we are actually presenting a tribute to great ghazal singer Jagjit Singh. Its producer Kartikeya is a Wonderful Man. I have already worked with director Navneet, while Manara Chopra is such a beautiful actress that who would not want to work with her.
Manara Chopra said on the occasion that music has been in our family. I also sing a little bit. I found this song very different. Pop music is generally heard today but it is a ghazal and a very sweet ghazal. The entire team associated with this song is great and all the people are from the film background whether it is director or Ashmit Patel. I am also doing a web show with him. Producer Kartikeya ji is a very good person. In this three minute video, you will see a different side of me, this is a performance oriented album.
Normally people would have seen me in western clothes but in this album people will see me in quite Indian dress like saree, lehenga.
The producer and singer of this album Kartikeya said that this ghazal album will give a rest in this restless environment.
Ashmit and Manara have done amazing work and this video is becoming quite attractive.
