New Delhi [India], March 17: In a significant step toward enhancing food safety in educational institutions, Daulatram College, Delhi University, hosted a comprehensive Food Safety Training and Certification (FoSTaC) session. Organized under the Eat Right India initiative by the Food Safety and Standards Authority of India (FSSAI) and supported by Tetra Pak under its CSR initiatives, the training aimed to raise awareness about food safety regulations and equip food handlers with essential hygiene and sanitation practices.
FOSTAC training session saw active participation from food handlers of the college canteen, hostel mess, and students from three Delhi University colleges—Ramjas College, College of Vocational Studies, and Daulatram College —who have registered for the prestigious Eat Right Campus certification. The training was conducted by Grow Well Foundation in the on going journey of Eat Right Campus certification.
Cassio Simoes, Managing Director, Tetra Pak South Asia said, “We are proud to support FSSAI’s Eat Right certification initiative across college campuses. This collaboration underscores our commitment to making food safe and available everywhere. It has been our privilege to support earlier editions of the Eat Right initiative and believe strongly in the power of education & awareness in building a culture of food safety and hygiene across the country.”
By reinforcing hygiene standards, Eat Right India seeks to instill safe food handling practices, promote healthy eating habits, and ensure that food served on campuses meets the highest safety benchmarks. The initiative is a crucial step toward empowering food handlers with the necessary skills to create a healthier environment for students and staff alike.
Tetra Pak’s support for the Eat Right Campus certification underscores its commitment to food safety in educational institutions, further strengthening the collaboration between FSSAI, Delhi University, and corporate partners to build a culture of food safety and hygiene.
