New Delhi (India), September 8: As part of Onam celebrations, the city of Erattupetta in Kotayyam district witnessed its first-ever boat race in its beloved Meenachill river, organized by the voluntary organization ‘Team Emergency’ in association with Erattupetta municipality.
In his address, Dr Mohammed Khan said, “Onam is a symbol of love, peace and communal harmony, and as part of Onam celebrations, this very first boat race will script a new chapter in the history of Erattupetta.”
Dr Mohammed Khan is widely recognized and respected for his association with prestigious international sports events like the 2010 Fifa World Cup- South Africa, 2014 Brazil, 2018 Moscow and even the Fifa World Cup 2022 held in Qatar.
