According to ANI-Digital, the ‘Make in India’ initiative has led to growth in the Indian electronic trade sector, boosting the economy, creating job opportunities, and enhancing India’s reputation in global trade. Associations like the Central Radio Electronic Merchant Association and All India Electronic Association have played crucial roles in promoting electronic commerce. These organizations have contributed actively to the initiation of electronic commerce and the functioning of related industries.

Founded in 1956, the Central Radio Electronic Merchant Association and in 1936, the All India Electronic Association have been instrumental in serving the electronic trade sector in India. They oversee various associations across India and the Delhi NCR region and actively contribute to the establishment of electronic commerce.

During the Annual General Meeting held at the Russian Culture Center (Firoz Shah Road) on August 5th, business leaders, traders, exporters, and importers gathered to honor ‘Make in India’ and acknowledge successful businessmen. The ‘Make in India’ campaign has significantly boosted India’s revenue by promoting domestic production, reducing imports from China, and establishing manufacturing units across the country. It has also created new employment opportunities.

Since the implementation of ‘Make in India’, India has expanded its exports to countries like Bhutan, Bangladesh, and Nepal, contributing to economic growth and foreign exchange earnings. The association aims to continue this success story, driving development, economic improvement, and international recognition for India in the realm of global trade.

During the pandemic, several prominent electronic businesses that generated significant revenue and employment opportunities under the ‘Make in India’ initiative were honored with the CREMA Pride Award. The Annual General Meeting also witnessed the election of Sanjay Nagpal as the new President of CREMA. Decisions were made regarding the periodic closures and reopenings of the electronics market throughout the year, all of which were reached through unanimous agreement.
