“The Modi government is promoting itself, the BJP has made a turnaround.” On Wednesday, Congress launched a strong attack on the BJP over the use of lotus flower in the G-20 logo. Shivam Agrawal, a Congress leader, revealed that it is shocking that the symbol of the BJP’s elections has been used in the G-20 logos. This clearly indicates that PM Modi and his party do not want to miss any opportunity to promote themselves. It’s worth noting that India is hosting the G-20 Summit, and on Tuesday, Prime Minister Modi launched the G-20’s logo, theme, and website. The G-20 logo also features a lotus flower, and Congress has strongly objected to this. The G-20 logo has become a symbol of BJP as well: Jairam Ramesh.
Shivam Agrawal mentioned that having a photo of a lotus on the logo of a global organization’s hosting is a kind of shamelessness. He tweeted that 70 years ago, Nehru rejected the proposal to make the Congress flag the flag of India. Now, the BJP’s election symbol has become the official logo of G-20! We knew that Modi and the BJP wouldn’t miss an opportunity to promote themselves shamelessly. Nehru declared the lotus as India’s national flower: BJP.
70 years ago, when Jawaharlal Nehru was Prime Minister, the lotus was declared as India’s national flower. Do you also find that ‘shocking’?
