Child Help Foundation has taken the initiative to cheer the participants in different categories by setting up a Motivation zone along the runners’ path. In the motivation zone, 1000+ CHF volunteers from various Mumbai colleges were present and were cheering the participants in different categories.
Speaking on the success of the event, Mr. Jiji John, Executive Director of Child Help Foundation, said, “TATA Mumbai Marathon is one of the biggest events in Mumbai and CHF has participated in the event for many years. It allows the organization to spread awareness about their campaigns and how it has benefited many underprivileged children in maintaining a healthy life. The volunteers also put on a great effort and cooperated with us as well, which helped our mission and goal to reach out to the maximum people.”
Volunteers performed a skit and danced to spread the values and missions of Child Help Foundation, especially focusing on the motto of ‘Swastha Se Shiksha Tak’. This was a spectacle like no other, which impressed the audience and helped them understand the core messaging of Child Help Foundation.
This year, Selfie Point was installed at the event with the CHF standees where the marathon participants took selfies to promote the motivational cause and also talk about a healthy lifestyle. The Selfie Point came with a QR Code that took the runner to a CHF webpage containing infographics about healthy lifestyles and awareness about cancer in childhood, the types of factors that can cause cancer and the side effects of chemotherapy.
The participation of volunteers was pivotal in engaging with the participants of the TATA Mumbai Marathon and Child Help Foundation thanked every one of them for their selfless efforts for their movement. Their presence at the marathon would have been bland if it weren’t for their energy and zeal to make a difference.
The TATA Mumbai Marathon was a resounding success for Child Help Foundation this year. The organization is determined to do more good work this year and will participate next year in TATA Mumbai Marathon with a new slogan and reach out to a maximum of needy people with a new cause.
