It is observed that the MIG Club area and society in its vicinity ,Kalanagar region, which is well accessible from BKC, is becoming a hot spot for boozers in the city, who drink & smoke in the open in the vicinity for young teenagers. This itself is a very alarming matter for Mumbaikars and society in general, causing a nuisance.
According to some sources, the open binge drinking culture as well as smoking is quite evident in MIG Club area, and Kalanagar and its vicinity the sources said.The local bystanders have also started informing this. Many unruly teenagers, who are not even of the legal age to drink are getting involved with alcohol consumption and smoking, at such young age without their parent’s awareness.This drinking and smoking is observed in cars also.
This late-night chatting, drinking and smoking culture in this Bandra East Area is unsafe and not a petty issue.
Underage drinking and fixed dependency on smoking and liquor continues to be a serious problem nationally.Also teenagers are into bad habits being misdirected and departing away from education. Parents should come forward for stronger guidance to warn young adults of the health dangers posed by these perilous habits.
Also, the police should do something to keep alcoholic beverages and smokers out of the hands of youngsters, also there should be strict tailored smoking ,alcohol guidance depending on a person’s age and where they live.
