Anish Abbasi, a politician for the BJP, has issued a formal statement saying that anyone hurting or killing street animals may no longer get away with it since it would be considered a serious offence and might result in the guilty being sentenced to prison for this heinous crime.

Whether an animal suffers a little wound, a serious wound, or is beaten to death due to cruel practices, it is illegal and is punishable under Section 11 of the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (PCA) Act, 1960, and Section 428 of the Indian Penal Code.

The Social activist and Secretary of BJP minority Delhi, Anish Abbasi immediately issued an order that such crimes will not go unreported going forward and that strict actions will be taken to curb this rising brutality against stray animals after witnessing a recent incident in the Azadpur area of New Delhi where one street dog was brutally beaten by one of the residents of Azadpur.

Everyone is aware of the cruelty humans perpetrate on animals, including the recent terrible event in which a street dog was treated inhumanely. However, this is just one of the numerous incidents that frequently go unreported; it is not the first. India continues to see unnatural animal deaths despite laws and regulations prohibiting animal abuse.India surprised many by placing second globally on the animal protection index in 2020.

Anish Abbasi, the social activist and Secretary of BJP minority Delhi, had appealed to everyone to be compassionate to stray dogs and other city animals by giving them access to food, water, and suitable shelter.

Animal cruelty cases would drastically decrease if people began to see all animals, not just dogs and cats, as fellow creatures living on our earth. He stated, “To protect the lives of the animals, who are crucial components of our ecosystem, we should all adopt an emotional attitude toward them and work to instill it in the next generation.”
