Ahmedabad (Gujarat) [India], May 6: In an industry often defined by numbers and noise, Varun Hiremath has chosen a quieter, more deliberate route—one that places people at the center of financial discourse. The Mumbai-based wealth advisor, who began his career in traditional finance, has emerged as a voice for purpose-led advisory through his firm, Fair Deal Advisors.
Varun Hiremath’s foundation in finance was laid at the University of South Florida’s Muma College of Business, where he studied Business Management. Early roles as a research analyst at Girik Capital and later as a banking analyst at ET Now gave him a front-row seat to how the financial sector operates. But it also left him questioning the system’s intent. “There were plenty of people selling,” he recalls. “But not enough people were actually listening.”
This realization culminated in the launch of Fair Deal Advisors in 2023. The firm, headquartered in Mumbai, takes a tailored approach to financial planning—eschewing off-the-shelf solutions in favor of client-centric strategies. Under Varun Hiremath’s stewardship, the firm has positioned itself as an advisory practice that treats wealth not just as a portfolio, but as a deeply personal narrative.
“Money is rarely just about money,” Varun Hiremath often says. “It’s tied to your values, fears, and dreams. If we ignore that, we miss the point.”
A Model That Goes Beyond Markets
Fair Deal Advisors offers services such as mutual fund distribution, portfolio management, and enterprise-level financial planning. But according to clients and colleagues, its core differentiation lies in its methodology—particularly its emphasis on understanding the client as a person first, and an investor second.
Varun Hiremath’s work extends beyond spreadsheets and strategy meetings. He is also the founder of the Hiremath Family Foundation, which focuses on improving educational access and infrastructure in rural India. Recent initiatives include the establishment of an e-learning center in Narangi Village, Alibag, serving over 250 students from Classes 6 to 10. The Foundation also regularly organizes prize distributions and community events to encourage school retention among rural children.
In one of its more impactful efforts, the Foundation distributed 393 pairs of shoes to students in Panvel—many of whom had previously walked barefoot to school. Other upcoming plans include mobile digital learning vans and emotional wellness initiatives for rural youth.
“We had internet and tutors growing up,” Varun Hiremath says. “Most of these children don’t. The Foundation is our way of giving them a fairer shot.”
Reimagining Success
For Varun Hiremath, the line between professional ambition and social responsibility is intentionally blurred. His vision for Fair Deal Advisors includes integrating emerging technologies such as data analytics, but not at the cost of human connection.
“Analytics help us sharpen our insights,” he notes. “But it’s empathy that gives our work meaning.”
Clients describe their experience with Fair Deal not in terms of returns or charts, but in the quality of conversations and continuity of care. It’s this ethos that Varun Hiremath hopes will define his legacy—not wealth maximization, but trust management.
As he continues to straddle the worlds of finance and philanthropy, Varun Hiremath remains guided by a singular philosophy: wealth, when managed with integrity, can become a tool for dignity, not just security.
“I don’t want to be remembered for managing wealth,” he says. “I want to be remembered for managing trust—wisely, responsibly, and with heart.”
