Lucknow Native Sunil Kumar Bajpye Urges Weekly Monitoring of Gaushalas Across Uttar Pradesh

New Delhi / Lucknow: Sunil Kumar Bajpye, a resident of Lucknow currently living in Laxmi Nagar, has formally appealed to the Government of Uttar Pradesh to implement mandatory weekly inspections of all Gaushalas operating across the state.

Bajpye, who has been residing in Laxmi Nagar for the past few years and is known in the Mangal Bazar locality, expressed concern over the condition of several Gaushalas in Uttar Pradesh.

According to him, many shelters lack proper cleanliness and hygiene maintenance, including regular bathing and sanitation for cows. He warned that poor upkeep can lead to the spread of diseases and serious health complications among the animals.

“Gaushalas exist to protect and nurture cows. If hygiene standards are not maintained, it defeats the very purpose of their existence,” Bajpye stated.

He has requested that inspections be conducted at least once a week to ensure cleanliness, proper feeding practices, medical check-ups, and overall welfare standards are maintained consistently.

Additionally, Bajpye suggested that monitoring should be carried out strictly by recognized Gaurakshak groups and their dedicated teams rather than solely by government departments. He emphasized the importance of transparency and strict enforcement in inspections to prevent any potential negligence or misconduct.

Bajpye believes that structured and disciplined oversight will significantly improve the living conditions of cows in Gaushalas and strengthen animal welfare systems across Uttar Pradesh.

He called upon authorities and community organizations to work collectively to safeguard the health and dignity of cows, ensuring that Gaushalas truly serve as safe and clean shelters.
