Dignitaries and leaders gather in Raichur to celebrate N.S. Boseraju’s legacy and launch “Chaitanya Sagar”.

Bengaluru (Karnataka) [India], June 23: A grand celebration marked the 79th birthday of Karnataka’s veteran leader and Minister for Minor Irrigation and Science & Technology, Shri N.S. Boseraju, at the Agricultural University campus in Raichur. The event witnessed participation from political leaders, dignitaries, and admirers from Karnataka and Telangana, who gathered to pay floral tribute and acknowledge his enduring contributions to public life.

On this occasion, the commemorative publication “Chaitanya Sagar”, compiled by the felicitation committee, was released. The book offers insights into the multifaceted public service journey of Shri Boseraju.

Presiding over the ceremony, Hon’ble Speaker of the Legislative Assembly Shri U.T. Khader recalled, “The first by-election I contested was under the stewardship of Shri Boseraju. His strategic guidance led to my victory and my entry into the Assembly. The book Chaitanya Sagar is a message to the youth—only those who know history can create history. Shri Boseraju is a mass leader admired by people across castes, religions, and communities.”

He further remarked, “It is often challenging for the children of political figures to earn public trust. But Ravi Boseraju, like his father, has emerged as a popular leader in his own right. Shri N.S. Boseraju’s contributions to the party remain unparalleled.”

Releasing the book, Minister for Law and Parliamentary Affairs Shri H.K. Patil stated , “Nowhere else do Congress leaders receive such warmth as in Raichur—thanks to the groundwork laid by Shri Boseraju. A dynamic force within the Congress from his early years, he has reinvigorated the party in Raichur and the Hyderabad-Karnataka region. Be it a crisis or a challenge, Shri Boseraju is always present—resolving issues like a true troubleshooter.”

“He is a formidable figure in politics, respected even by his opponents. His association with my father, Shri K.H. Patil, and our shared journey spanning five decades has been enriching. His commitment to addressing water and land issues in this region exemplifies public service at its finest,” he added.

Shri Patil also acknowledged the significant role played by Smt. Boseraju in his success, and extended his wish for the minister to celebrate his centenary. “During the initial days of my political career, he introduced me to key concepts in irrigation. His mentorship helped shape my understanding,” he shared.

Telangana’s Deputy Chief Minister Shri Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka lauded Shri Boseraju’s role as AICC Secretary. “He brought cohesion among party leaders and played a pivotal role in strengthening Congress in Telangana. His leadership contributed immensely to the party’s victory. He treats every leader like family. Boseraju, is a true gandhian and has carried the ideology of congress party in whichever role he takes whether in organisation, legislator, political secretary or minister.”

His vast organisational experience has been used by AICC not only in karnataka and telangana but across the country, he added.

Minister for Animal Husbandry and Fisheries of Telangana, Shri Vakiti Srihari, echoed similar sentiments. “Shri Boseraju has always been at the forefront of party organization, nurturing strong relations across Karnataka and Telangana. I wish him a long, healthy, and fulfilling life.”

Karnataka’s Minister for Kannada and Culture Shri Shivaraj Thangadagi commended Shri Boseraju’s unwavering dedication since 1969. “His passion and energy continue to inspire younger generations. His consistent involvement was instrumental in the Congress party’s growth in Telangana.”

Noted writer and former Rajya Sabha member Dr. L. Hanumanthaiah , speaking on Chaitanya Sagar, emphasized that Shri Boseraju valued party loyalty above personal allegiance—an ethos that has guided his political journey.

The felicitation ceremony was led by Shri Hampayya Naik, MLA from Manvi. Among the dignitaries present were Raichur MLA Dr. Shivraj Patil, MPs Shri G. Kumar Naik and Shri Radhakrishna Doddamani, along with several other Members of Parliament and the Legislative Assembly.
