Inaugurated by Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi on 24th February, the summit in Bhopal was a landmark event, demonstrating the state’s growing appeal as an investment destination.
The event saw an overwhelming turnout, with over 25,000 registrations and more than 100 international delegates from 60 countries, further establishing Madhya Pradesh’s prominence on the global stage. The participation of partner countries, including Canada, Germany, and Italy, reflected the global interest in the state’s economic potential.
Top industrial leaders such as Shri Gautam Adani of Adani Group and Shri Baba Kalyani of Bharat Forge were among the high-profile participants. Their involvement highlighted the increasing importance of Madhya Pradesh as a hub for both national and international investments. The summit also featured over 70 one-on-one meetings with leading companies like Tata Group, Godrej, and Piramal, focusing on investment proposals and future growth strategies.
One of the key features of GIS 2025 was the introduction of an AI-powered business matchmaking tool, which helped facilitate more than 600 B2G (Business-to-Government) and 5,000 B2B (Business-to-Business) meetings. The tool greatly enhanced the efficiency of business interactions and ensured the creation of sustainable partnerships.
Madhya Pradesh’s commitment to growth and sustainability was reflected in the summit’s thematic sessions, which explored sectors like green hydrogen, logistics, and pharmaceuticals. These discussions showcased the state’s dedication to diversifying its industrial base and adopting emerging technologies. The Madhya Pradesh Industrial Development Corporation Ltd. (MPIDC) played an instrumental role in supporting the development of infrastructure, enabling these groundbreaking investments.
Additionally, the NRI Madhya Pradesh Summit, which took place as part of GIS 2025, saw over 500 NRIs actively participating, reinforcing the strong connection between the state and its diaspora. With a record number of MoUs signed and a commitment to sustainable growth, Madhya Pradesh is poised for significant economic progress in the coming years.
