New Delhi (India), January 20: To commemorate their 10 year anniversary, Delhi based premium swimwear and resort wear brand ‘FLIRTATIOUS’ hosted a clean up drive on Carter Road beach on 14th January 2023.

They came, they saw and they cleaned -up! To mark 10 glorious years of Flirtatious, founder Aakriti Grover joined hands with the Carter Clean Up team and NGO Ek Saath to beautify Carter beach with a clean-up drive.

On a beautiful Saturday morning, the Carter clean up drive took off on a positive note. With an aim to help create awareness about keeping our environment clean, the drive saw participants from all walks of life including celebrity stylist Sukriti Grover, Pragya Kapoor, founder, NGO Ek Saath, brand friends and students from NMIMS college joined the cause and collected approximately 394 kilograms of Marine Debris consisting of plastic bottles bags, rocks, marine litter etc from the beach.

Elated with the response the initiative received, Aakriti Grover, Founder, Flirtatious, said, “From the very beginning, we have been mindful about the Earth resources and energy we utilise for every piece we create at Flirtatious. As we complete a decade, it is but natural that we go back to where it all began and that’s the beach. The Carter Clean Up drive was our way of giving back to the environment. We are thankful to each and everyone who showed up and volunteered to be a part of this noble cause. Hopefully, this initiative helps add more hands to the cause in the future.”

The founders of Carter cleanup Harold Fernandes, Freishia B, Maansi Desai, Nupur Agarwal and Ashwin Malwade were delighted that Aakriti Grover, founder of Flirtatious decided to celebrate the brand’s 10 years with a beach cleanup party. Speaking about the association, Freishia Bomanbehram, Co-founder, Carter Clean Up, said, “A lot of brands talk about saving the planet but not many actually use their leverage in supporting a good cause and creating an impact.”

Ashwin Malwade, Managing Director, NGO Ek Saath, further adds, “Plastic pollution in our oceans has today become a glaring reality and unless we all come together to save it, we may lose our oceans forever. Our hearts fill with pride when brands like Flirtatious join us at our humble citizen movement and truly show their love for the environment. We hope this is the first of many such collaborations with them.”
