Nayan Naveli Gallery Brings Humanity to the Kho Kho World Cup 2025 celebrating art with sports

In a groundbreaking initiative that seeks to intertwine the threads of culture and athleticism, the Kho Kho World Cup 2025 has partnered with the Nayan Naveli Gallery. Hosted at the Indira Gandhi Arena in New Delhi from January 13-19, this collaboration isn’t just about sports or art; it’s about the people who live and breathe these worlds, and the emotions that unite them.

At the heart of this partnership is the belief that art and sport are both profound expressions of human resilience, creativity, and community. Curated by the visionary Amrita Kochhar, the accompanying art exhibition will feature works by celebrated contemporary Indian artists, including Anuradha Tandon, Asit Kumar Patnaik, Krishnendu Porel, Naynaa konodia , Ram Onkar ,Santosh verma ,Shampa Sircar , Shrikant Poddar, Shampa bhattacharjee, Renuka sondhi gulati , Vijender sharma and Vimmi indra. Each piece tells a story, not only of Kho Kho’s energy and movement but also of the deep emotional connection it has with India’s cultural heritage.

“These artworks transcend the visual,” shares Kochhar. “They embody the spirit of those who play, those who cheer, and those who pass down the tradition of Kho Kho from generation to generation. It’s about honoring the people behind the game.”

For the players, these art works will serve as a reminder of their role as cultural ambassadors, carrying forward a sport that is deeply rooted in India’s history. For the audience, it’s a chance to see the game through a more intimate, human lens, evoking stories of teamwork, sacrifice, and the unrelenting pursuit of excellence.

Mandeep Malhotra, CMO of Kho Kho Federation of India, reflected on this emotional resonance: “By weaving art into the fabric of the tournament, we hope to remind people of the universality of human expression. Whether it’s a perfectly executed tag on the Kho Kho field or a brushstroke on a canvas, both require dedication, skill, and heart.”

As the Kho Kho World Cup 2025 unites nations in the spirit of competition, the Nayan Naveli Gallery’s exhibition will stand as a testament to the beauty of human connection.

This approach emphasizes the shared humanity between sports and art, making the partnership more relatable and inspiring for audiences.
